Straight Jacket
Instead of being put together by glue, screws or other ‘ordinary’ connections, the wooden parts of this table are put together by means of a straight jacket. A straight jacket that gives the table its form and makes it steady.
De Intuïtiefabriek (The Intuition Factory) is a collective of 4 female designers. Amba Molly, Carolina Wilcke, Eefiene Bolhuis and Eva Gevaert recently graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven. During their studies they noticed some similarities in their intuitive way of working and their use of material. As a collective, the members of De Intuïtiefabriek now focus on tableware. By combining their individual work a new world appears: in their new project ‘Metropolis’ vases become buildings, flowers become bridges, bowls become valleys and spoons become ladders…
